Media Impact on Middle Schoolers

As teachers, we often hear students complain that an hour or two of homework each night is too much.  Yet we find it amazing that most students have spent multiple hours watching tv, playing video games, texting, and internet surfing. 

What kind of impact does this have on our children's self esteem, world view, and future careers?

On Monday, November 16th, we have invited CJ Hiltz to give a special presentation to our 5th - 8th graders.  Parents are welcome to attend this 1 PM talk on the impact of media in our lives.
