Whittier Christmas Parade Float
Time to start working on the float! The past three years we’ve placed, taking the Grand Prize last year! All students are asked to draw what they think our float should look like. The winners of the float design contest will be guaranteed a spot of the float. Construction and design start on Saturday, Nov 14th. Please turn in all ideas by Tuesday, November 11th.

Parent Teacher Conference Week – November 9 – 13
Parent teacher conferences will be held all next week. Every day will be a minimum day with early dismissal at 2 PM. You may also make individual appointments with teachers.

Veterans Day – November 11th.
Yes, we do have school on Veterans Day this year. We will be honoring the parents and grandparents of our students who are veterans at a special chapel next week. If you are a veteran, please attend!

SCHEDULE CHANGE
After evaluating the many things we do during the Holiday Season, we have decided to change the time of our annual Christmas program from Tuesday evening, December 15th to Friday afternoon, December 18th at 2 PM.


CHARACTER TRAIT - NOVEMBER
This month’s theme is COOPERATION – Working together to do more than you can do alone. We will continue cooperating and collecting small items for First Day Whittier during chapel up until Thanksgiving.

NEW CELL PHONE POLICY EXPECTED FRIDAY
A new cell phone policy will soon be going into effect. By Friday, we should have a waiver form that we will be asking every parent to complete who desire their student to carry a cell phone at school. The students have already been informed of the policy and have been given time to ask questions.

STUDENT COUNCIL
…will be selling Nachos and other snacks at lunch and again after school as a fundraiser on Thursday and Friday. Don’t Forget – Friday is Dollar Free Dress Day too!
