Volleyball Girls & Family,

A quick note:

I’m excited about coaching this team and working with the girls.

Practice unofficially started today (Thursday) but the season will start officially this
coming Monday. If your daughter wasn’t able to make it today, don’t worry.

Generally, unless I’ve stated otherwise, we’ll practice Monday through Thursdays except
obviously on game days. We’ll start practice sometime after school around 3:15 or 3:20
and finish around 4:30. I expect the girls to be at all practices and games unless I’ve been
notified in advance. This makes practice planning much easier—knowing who is going
to be there.

As we start the season there are still a lot of things to be worked out. (rides, drinks,
get togethers, etc). If there is anything you or your family would like to do to help, please let
me know.

Things to know going into the season:

I am understanding. Please vocalize questions or concerns.

Encourage the girls to be focused and hard working at practice.

Please have athletic shorts, shirt, knee pads, and shoes for each practice. It might even be
helpful to put a spare set somewhere just in case.

Practice at home. Hitting against the wall or with someone else. We want them to be
able to consistently hit the ball where they want.
