From the Desk of Mr. Miller...
As we look back at the last year, we see how far we’ve come! 2009 brings us even more promise as we look to continue expanding on what we’ve done.
This year marks our 25th year. In the upcoming months, you will hear more about our SILVER JUBILEE special events.
SPELLING BEE
The in class spelling bees are under way this week. Next week on Friday the 16th at 2 PM, we will have the Palm View Championship. Defending Champions are Sierra Marti and Theoren Landeros.
The following week is the ACSI Regional Spelling Bee. On Thursday, our 1st-5th graders who are not in the meet that day will be attending a Knotts Berry Farm educational field trip. Permission slips will be distributed next week. The 1-4th grade bee will begin 9 AM that day and will be over by lunchtime. The 5th – 8th grade bee will take place on the following day. Regular classes will be in session for K-4th.
NO SCHOOL – Monday, January 19th – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Inauguration Day – January 20th.
Our current 8th graders were in Kindergarten the last time the US saw a new President. Dress in Red , White & Blue, as we take part in watching the inauguration ceremonies. A school wide assembly will take place at 8:30 as Inauguration events begin.
VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT – January 24th
Congratulations Lady Lions! With only 3 games and a tournament left, we are proud of them!
Mark your calendar for a day of fun on Saturday, January 24th. The double elimination tournament begins at 8 AM. Let’s see how many people we can get to cheer our team on!
