We had a great day today! Thanks to everyone who came and cheered our team on! We'll get the DVD in about 6 weeks and have a party. For those that want to see what Virtual Memory is, you can catch it on JCTV -- Channel 289 on Verizon FIOS or free over the air on 40.3 HD

Only 3 Weeks left and Counting!

I enjoyed seeing several of you at the DODGER game last Friday night. The fireworks were great, even if the Angels won! That was a perfect end to FIELD DAY. Thanks to the 8th graders and Coach Jeremy, we had fun with jello and water balloons!

YEARBOOK
You have until Friday to pre-order a yearbook. We’ve met the pulishers minimum but can’t accept any orders past this date. For $2 you may still submit one liners!

JOIN US ON SATURDAY AM for the VIRTUAL MEMORY TAPING! We Need a large studio audience to cheer on our contestants. Directions are on the back!

Congratulations to Mrs. Sifuentes! She will be starting her new position on Monday, July 6th as our new preschool director! Don’t forget to send any stories and memories about Mrs. Becky Orona to tom@palmviewag.com. We will be honoring her this Sunday for 17 years of service.

Sunday’s Banquet is scheduled for 5 PM. There are still several tickets available, but you must call before Noon on Friday!

Everyone is invited to Sunday, June 7th’s 10:45 Palm View Christian School Sunday service. On this date we will be featuring our students and I will be delivering the sermon. That evening, please return for our 6 PM graduation ceremony, even if your student is not graduating this year! This is an honor that we all celebrate!

And finally, thanks to the parents who helped out in chapel today! It was great to honor all of our students who exhibited “conviction” during April!

FIELD DAY! @ Sorensen Park!

Friday is the Annual Field Day & BBQ at Sorensen Park. Make sure any last minute items are dropped off at the school office in the AM. All students must report to their home room for attendance and instructions. All 8th graders can meet Ms. Loyko & Coach Jeremy at the Park at 7:30 AM to begin setup for games.

The student body will walk in single file lines to the park from the school around 8:30. All Parents are invited to watch and enjoy the BBQ lunch. After lunch, school is dismissed for the 3 day weekend. Parents may pick up their kids at the park from their teacher. We will also walk students back to the school where they may be picked up as well.

Remember - It's Dodgers / Angels Day! Wear jeans! Take Monday off!

What a great spirit week so far! Almost everybody remembered their pajamas yesterday. Today, we had clowns, jugglers, unicyclists, strong men, and even bearded ladies – plus animals, tamers, and audience members. REMEMBER – Tomorrow is crazy hair/hat day – but wear your chapel uniform!

It's Hard to believe that there are only a few chapel's left in this school year. Parent's are always invited to attend our services and worship with your kids. Chapels are always at 10 AM in the sanctuary!

Swine Flu Update

As the swine flu worries abate, the LA Department of Health has released a new letter outlining health and safety guidelines. At this point, the swine flue H1N1 is being treated as another influenza outbreak. Please read the letter if you have concerns.

Great Job, Everybody!

The play was great! Everyone enjoyed it! All of the actors did incredibly well, as well as our extras! Students – all of us teachers and parents are proud of you. To Celebrate Cinco De Mayo-- students may wear free dress. Extra points if they wear red & green. Sombrero's are optional... but will be allowed! (as long as they don't disturb class. The Spanish class & Mrs. Perez will be making some tasty tortillas!

Chess Camp

It's not to early to think about ACI's Chess camp! To get early registration, sign up in the next 2 weeks. The camp will be held at Azusa Pacific University from August 10-14.
